Who are they?

The Mason County Search and Rescue Canine Unit is a dog and handler team trained to track. This team gets deployed when human eyes and ears just aren't enough.

What do they do?

Our Canine Unit is able to track into tight places, and over longer distances using a variety of tracking techniques. The six legged team offers a skill set that is unmatched.

What kind of training is required?

The Canine Search and Rescue training is rigorous and ongoing. Certification happens through a third party organization. But once certified, both dog and handler continue to hone their skills.
